This is a lapel badge, just above the symbols is a small golden thistle. It denotes the visit of the Canadian curling team to Scotland in 1970 for a competition called the Strathcona Cup, which takes place annually to this day.

This object is affixed to object 2009.1.2.2. On the back of the object is a clip. On the front of the object, just above the symbols is a small golden thistle. The Canadian curlers visited Scotland in January 1970 as part of a competition called the Strathcona Cup. Part of larger collection of bowling and curling objects donated by Mr Ivan G.
