This is a leather belt with a gold thread covering. It has a metal buckle bearing the insignia of King George V (1910-1936).

Description
Leather Belt with textile gold thread covering on front. Metal buckle (possible gold plating) with crest/insignia of George V. Insignia contains laurels up either side surrounding letters GRv with crown on top. Inscription underneath reads "Dieu et mon droit". Buckle contains clasp on back which fits hook on belt. Navy velvet (or other soft material) edging on belt. Leather on back is red. Two metal loops on back, possibly to contain other belts to hold sword.
