Details
This little Victorian teapot is representative of novel domestic ceramics introduced into Scotland in the late 19th century. There is no evidence that it is Scottish.
This is a squat, round teapot with a rich, lustrous, brown glaze. The upper surface is decorated with bas-relief leaves (or flowers) above and below a central stark. The handle and spout are ribbed. The finger-grip of the lid is surrounded by florets.
