Details
The sands just to the east of North Berwick harbour have long been a popular place for a day on the beach. This photograph of a model yacht regatta was made into a postcard for a local newsagent in the 1930s and continued to be sold throughout the 1940s. The regatta was organised by North Berwick Town Council.
This is a sepia printed view postcard, overprinted with colour washes. The scene is of a boating pond at the edge of a beach with a row of houses in the background. There are groups of people beside the wall of the pond, mainly children sailing toy yachts, watched by crowds in the background.
