Details
This colour postcard was made around 1905, but the photograph was taken a few years earlier. It shows strollers on Dunbar's clifftop promenade, built for the benefit of holidaymakers in 1893. Dunbar's Edwardian promotional slogan was 'the bright and breezy burgh' and healthy strolls along the clifftop were a regular holiday activity.
This is a colour printed view postcard. The scene shows several figures walking a winding path above a seaside cliff, with a view of a headland and small island (the Bass Rock) in the background.
