A sandwich box (piece box) that belonged to Jimmy Douther were donated in 2005 by his son Jim. Jimmy was born in Wallyford in 1895 and died at Prestonpans in 1978.

This meat safe was used in the early 20th century by a family in North Berwick.

Made originally in the Ayrshire village of Mauchline, a large variety of wooden souvenirs, such as this octagonal box, were available in late Victorian times.

This snuff box was made in 1890 from timber recycled from Tantallon Castle. The creation of keepsakes or souvenirs from the timber of famous ships or houses was popular in late Victorian times.
